  • Area: Governance of AI Agents

    • When would it be justified to implement certain pieces of agent infrastructure? E.g., specific threat models

    • What regulation may we need to change with the advent of widely available, capable AI agents? E.g., might we need to deregulate because much regulation depends on information or computational asymmetries that agents could alleviate?

    • How do we best use agents to improve cooperation between human actors, especially at the international level?

    • How do we best integrate and diffuse agents in a beneficial way into the economy? How do we best integrate and diffuse agents so as to improve societal resilience?

  • I am a Research Fellow at GovAI.

I work on the governance of AI agents and Iā€™m also generally interested in technical AI governance.

I completed my PhD at Mila, advised by Nicolas Le Roux and David Krueger. Previously at Amii + UAlberta, I was a MSc student with Martha White.

  • Ideally, a decent understanding of both ML and policy (i.e., don't need to be a superstar engineer or a policy professional)

I will help you shape a research project that you will lead. I'll frequently provide advice and feedback on your work, both within and outside of regular meetings.
